2026 QB Travis Burgess is one of Auburn’s most frequently scouted quarterbacks in this class
The 6’5”, 205-pound signal caller out of Grayson (GA) brings a high-upside blend of frame, mobility, and clean mechanics. His tape shows natural touch on deep balls, good zip on intermediate throws, and the ability to escape pressure when the pocket breaks down.
Burgess has been on Auburn’s campus more than any other school this spring. He’ll return for an official visit from May 30 to June 1, which could be a pivotal moment in the Tigers’ quarterback evaluation process.
North Carolina is the main competition right now, but NC State, Wisconsin, and Duke are also in the picture. Auburn has been methodical in how it’s handled QB recruiting in this cycle, and Burgess has consistently stayed at or near the top of the board.
He fits the mold of what Hugh Freeze and Kent Austin look for in a quarterback. Auburn would love to lock in a signal caller early, and Burgess is a real candidate to be that guy
